I HATE (notice the bold, underline, and italicized nature of that word) the time change. It gets dark way too early and makes everyone in my household feel tired and worthless. Getting dark is not always bad though. It leaves inside work that was put off because of it being nice and sunny available to be done. I was not sure whether the darker nature of the third book in the Amanai series should be as dark as I have it outlined. I think it will get a little lighter as I write it. The lesson and evolution of the characters needs to be believable. You do not see military veterans coming back from war talking about sunshine and puppies while smiling all the time. There is a change, and normal is sometimes not possible. You can take that as foreshadowing.
