I have been driving the Camaro the last several days, and I realized how progress has made driving boring.  I think it is sacrilege to drive a sports car in anything but a manual transmission.  Driving this 6-speed manual is thoroughly entertaining, and I enjoy every minute of it.  It is difficult to find a car that still is a stick shift.  It’s like people got really lazy.  Even this manual takes some of the fun out of it.  The car has “Hill Assist” where it will prevent you from rolling back when taking off on a hill.  Half the fun of a standard was the thrill of whether or not you could remove your foot from the brake and hit the gas while letting off the clutch while there is some asshole right on your bumper.  Are you going to drift back and hit him before you can take off?  Will your nerves get the best of you, and you stall the car?  Those were the good old days.
